What was the abstract beat workshop? it held slots through the years 1999 – 2005 on KTUH 90.3 FM Honolulu. Timeslots included Sundays from 6 – 9 PM, Wednesdays 9 p – 12 mid, and finally, Tuesdays 9 p – 12 mid.
Thanks to Rid for finding my old show description– the reason for this post. This is how I described my show on the ktuh website:
One day I tripped on a downbeat. It slipped off the bottom of my shoe and headed west. Three sharks in a car were driving towards Oblivion. Said if I needed a ride I could jump in. Variety is the spice of life… The spice IS life… Fear is the mind killer! Ala Peanut Butter Sandwiches! *poof*
Some of the interviews and guests on the show were with people such as: LA Symphony, M.I.A., Diplo, Kavet the Catalyst, Oliver Twist, Lofa, Her Space Holiday, Emanon (performed by Bone since I was sick), Hive, Daddy Kev, P.E.A.C.E., John Book, Omega6, Timer, Nabahe, Sifu “Jive” Walker, Vince (Thug Science), Rhombus, Octavius (as himself), Darrin, Bobby, Allen, Randi, Rid, MetaLX, Loriel, Earth Movers, J-Rock, Lori, Terri, Trav15, Marloca, Toki, Kathryn Xian, Lee Tonouchi…
mahalo to the listeners most of all, who made the whole thing worthwhile.
